LONDON – December 28, 2021 – PickleJar, an emerging live entertainment and cashless tipping app, announced today their sponsorship of the film “Curiouser”, a Double J Productions film. In its sponsorship role, the brand will activate attendees across many different platforms, showcasing the use of the PickleJar payments app to raise funds to support artists, film makers and musicians involved in the film. PickleJar will also lend support to the film’s on-site attendee engagement efforts and document the excitement and energy of the film.
“PickleJar’s main mission is to showcase exceptional creativity in music, movies, television and more. That is the driving force behind everyone on our team,” said Kristian Barowsky, President of PickleJar. “This film presents a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase our passions in support of a special movie while also raising money for a good cause.”
After winning an award for the film, “Physique”, Double J Productions announced that the film “Curiouser”, produced by Jennifer James and directed by award-winning director Gabriel Athanasiou, was set to start filming in February of 2022. The movie centers around a young girl struggling with her identity and where she belongs in the world. Upon being thrown into a surreal world following a bizarre encounter with her own self, she is forced to face who she really is. “Curiouser” is inspired by the works of Tim Burton and Alice and Wonderland.
“We are thrilled to finally start bringing this film to life,” said Jennifer James, film producer and founder of Double J Productions. “As filmmakers, we aim to push the boundaries of filmmaking to create a truly artistic yet moving piece that will have the audience captivated from start to finish.”
