[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1617274412338{margin-top: 20px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]HOUSTON – March 23, 2021 – PickleJar Holdings, an emerging peer-to-peer cashless tipping platform for artists and content creators, announces the soft launch of the PickleJar™ iOS app. The limited release will coincide with the “Mo’s 33rd Anniversary” fundraising event in partnership with the historic venue, Mo’s Place in Katy, Texas. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Children of Restaurant Employees (CORE), a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on helping food or beverage service employees and their children. The event is set to take place on March 26, 2021 at Mo’s Place featuring a live performance by the band Bag of Donuts.
During the event, the PickleJar™ iOS app will be available to a select number of attendees to test the robust functionality with a live artist performance. Using the proprietary mobile payment service and features of the app, attendees will be able to give a gratuity tip to the band during the live performance. In return, band members will be able to use the app to engage directly with their fans. All tips captured during the live event and from those participating on the livestream will be donated to CORE.
PickleJar Holdings plans to launch the app to the general public at the beginning of the second quarter of this year. The app’s artist-driven functionality is centered around creating a better connection and experience between musicians, fans and organizations while streamlining the “giving back” process for everyone through a unique “PickShare” feature. Most importantly, artists get to keep 100% of the monies tipped by fans.
“Our mission is simple. Help musicians and artists get more for their talent and hard work,” stated Kristian Barowsky, president of PickleJar Holdings. “This is a great chance to showcase PickleJar’s mobile-first approach to cashless tipping, fan engagement and making a difference in our local communities through charitable partnerships. We are grateful to Mo, his staff and our sponsors for participating in such an amazing event.”
As part of Mo’s 33rd Anniversary event, attendees will be entered into a raffle to win a bottle of George Straight’s Código Tequila and a guitar autographed by “King George” himself. Proceeds from balloon purchases will go towards CORE and the Mo’s Community Recovery Fund Katy to provide aid to families struggling due to COVID-19.
